lili st anne

Lili - A french nickname for Elizabeth
Saint - Growing up Catholic can’t help but leave its mark
Anne - Lili’s grandmother, a painter and an excellent card player

With lyrical melodies and unexpected syncopation, the intimate songwriting and soulfully enticing vocals of Lili St Anne envelope you in an ethereal world permeated by strains of neo-soul, 1940s jazz, appalachian folk, and human howls. Her music lives in a curious juxtaposition of whimsy and thoughtfulness, creating a haunting soundtrack that ponders themes of love and loss, exposing the vulnerability and power that lies within her old soul.

In a new collaboration with funk and hip-hop drummer Jason Miller, Lili St Anne's performances are an uncommon genre-bending experience. Their collaborative single “Wolves” is set to release July 27th, kicking off their West Coast Wolves Tour in August spanning from Vancouver B.C. to Los Angeles.

You can listen to her previous studio releases on her website as well as her music videos - including the most recent, “For Isabella”, a haunting, modern style waltz that was inspired by a character she played at the Imago Theatre in Portland Oregon last year about a desperate girl who seeks attention as a substitute for love. The video is a live performance at 8 Ball Studios in Portland Oregon, where Lili St Anne will also be working on her upcoming EP "Bone Marrow” in Fall 2017 (release date TBA).
